Hey guys. Happy winter! Today I want to share my 2022 winter bucket list with you. I love making bucket and to-do lists for different seasons and months. But the winter bucket list always seems so much fun, especially, because Christmas is full of magic and special moments.
I kept this list short and nice but I do have way more things I need to finish before the end of 2022. The rest of the winter is looking extremely full as well. But I think I can do all of it, whether, it is these entertaining things from my winter bucket list below or just day-to-day things.
Also, I am always a bit sad during the winter holiday season but nevertheless always excited. However, to fight this sadness I make the winter bucket list to cheer myself up and remind myself that there are so many good things around us.
So before you scroll further, I wanted to remind you that I made a few notebooks through Amazon KDP. You can check them out down below, I designed them myself and truly love them. As a notebook lover, I also love the quality. Check them out ↓↓
My 2022 winter bucket list
My winter bucket list this year is quite small. But it’s simply because I don’t want to overwhelm myself. Honestly, it’s been a very exhausting and stressful year and I don’t see an end to it. So I just want to surround myself with nice, comforting things and events.
1| Ice Skating. I haven’t skated for so long and my husband is very worried that I will fall and break my leg, ahah. I mean, I am known for twisting my ankles but I just have to go and do it. It’s one of these things – ok, I’ve done it, now I don’t have to do it for another 10 years.
2| Bake a vegan apple pie. Oh, this has been so long on my list. I prefer baking over cooking and I think baking an apple pie is one thing you definitely should make on your baking journey. I am going to use this recipe by Bianca Zapatka.
3| Decorate the house. In my culture and family, we don’t celebrate Catholic Christmas, New Year’s celebration is way bigger. But I truly love how big Christmas is in the US in terms of decorations. This is my first year consciously decorating our place, we also have much more space and a fireplace (which is a dream!). This year, I am decorating inside only with exception of the Christmas wreath I thrifted. But next year I plan to decorate outside as well.
Check out how I decorated the thrifted Christmas wreath in the TikTok video down below ↓
4| Make gluhwein 🍊 I am going to use one of these two recipes I found online: Vegan Mulled Wine or Best German Gluhwein. I can’t decide because they’re a bit different but both sound so good. Maybe I’ll mix the recipes if I will not decide later.
5| Read Harry Potter. I never read books so this winter I want to read at least 2-3 books. I am very excited because I heard that books are better than the movie.
6| Host a Christmas dinner. This is my dream for a very long time. My bigger dream is to host many dinners and parties throughout my life because it is always so much fun but I guess beginning small with a Christmas dinner is a great start!
7| Watch a lot of Christmas movies. For the past few years, I haven’t watched a lot of Christmas movies. I rewatched a few of my favorite ones here and there but I truly feel like I am missing the magic this year. Christmas movies are definitely full of magic.
8| Make Christmas cards for friends and family. This year I want to make my own cards instead of buying them. I think that can be very fun and it’s also very unique. Everyone will basically get a unique piece of art.
9| Make a Christmas family photo with my husband and our cat. I really want to make an Elf costume for our cat and I think it will be such a fun photo.
10| Do more of the creative winter makeup looks. The past year has been really difficult and makeup and fashion have been always the way of expressing myself creatively. Gaining weight has affected the way I dress up
What is on your winter bucket list this year? Share it in the comments, I am always curious about what people love doing in certain seasons. Maybe, I will find something to add to my list next year, as well.
