The fall is officially here, and I am extremely excited about it so I decided to share my Fall bucket list with you as well as share some other ideas you can add to yours. September was kind of weird and slow, and the transition from summer to fall has been a little bit hard for me personally.
But the weather and the leaves are finally changing, it’s getting colder and Halloween is very soon. Now I am really excited and feel that I have a fall mood.
I hope your fall started better and you feel great. Below is my fall bucket list, let me know what else I should add and what’s on your list.
How to make a bucket list
My list is relatively short because I don’t want to overwhelm myself and want to spend the rest of this season working on myself and healing practices. I think autumn is a great time for shadow work, reflection, letting go, and resting. If you’re into this kind of thing, I’d also recommend adding Tarot or oracle cards into your practice. These are my favorite ones, especially for darker seasons
Anyways, back to the bucket list. In the summer, I definitely overwhelmed myself with too many to-do’s and as a result, it did not lead me anywhere except more stress.
My advice to you, if you’re creating your own bucket list for any occasion, is that keep it short, fun and realistic. It’s ok to push yourself outside your comfort zone but you need to know your limits and if you’re going to be able to leave your comfort zone or not.
So remember, to create your (seasonal) bucket list:
- Keep it short. I’d say maximum 15 points
- Keep it fun
- Have a mix of different activities
- Don’t overwhelm yourself too much
- Give yourself time and space to do those things
- Make sure your list has new things you never tried or did but is still realistic
My Fall bucket list
- Pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hay ride. I’ve been to the pumpkin patch and corn maze once and never have been on a hay ride so this is definitely a MUST this season
- Pumpkin carving
- Cook three new Fall recipes
- Host a Fall dinner/party
- Plant Fall veggies
- Decorate our house for Halloween. I never celebrated Halloween and this September we moved to a house and I want to decorate it a little bit, which is extremely exciting for me. Next year I will go crazy with decorations!
- Host a silent dinner for Halloween. This is a beautiful tradition and I am looking forward to doing it. I feel more connected to my ancestors and honoring and acknowledging them and those who passed away is important to me
- Have a Fall inspired photoshoot
- Read more spooky, witchy, and mystery books. My plan is to read 15 books this fall
- Spend at least an hour a week doing shadow work and self-reflection
